Storytelling for a characterful rebrand
Glorious Creative were embarking on an exciting mission; rebranding one of the most famous, esteemed, characterful hotels in Manchester,
The Gotham.
My task? Elaborate on two distinct routes for The Gotham's rebrand and create two separate, captivating pieces of immersive brand storytelling written for a boutique hotel experience.
Our first route, The Landseer, explores a hotel meticulously curated by a fictional worldly raconteur, and sets the scene for an enchanting stay marked by curiosity and splendour.
The piece features rich, evocative language, layered with playful charm and high-end opulence.

Our second route (and the one our client ended up going with) was The Rex.
​
Inspired by the secretive and alluring history of the hotel and a few of its notable past guests, The Rex paints a picture of decadence, drama and a little debauchery here and there.
​
The language is colourful, sensorial and opulent, inviting guests to stay, play, and indulge in whatever earthly temptation might take their fancy.
